The people of Novato and all of Marin County face a multitude of hazards including earthquakes, wildfires, flooding, and landslides. To address these public safety risks, a simple and free two-hour emergency preparedness program is being offered to all households in the county through the Get Ready Emergency Disaster Preparedness Program.
THE GOAL:
Get Ready is a collaborative effort between all the communities and jurisdictions within Marin County with a goal to prepare households with the necessary skills and information to survive and cope with a disaster for five to seven days.
FREE Citizen and Instructor training is underway!
THE BENEFITS:
- Prepared citizens means reduced injuries and illnesses due to a disaster
- A reduction to the over-burdened emergency first responders
- A reduction to the over-burdened hospitals and urgent care centers
- A reduction in the financial burden the city will bear due to disaster
- A stronger community: people helping each other

- Spread the word! Let your neighbors know about the program
- Recommend someone you think would make an excellent trainer

- Build your business while supporting the program with store coupons for supplies
- Monetary donations of any amount support the success of this critical campaign
PG&E Launches Online Outage Map
A new outage mapping feature was launched on pge.com . The map will show all current electrical outages in the service area.
The new outage map uses a Google Maps interface to show all current electrical outages, with data pulled from our Outage Information System (OIS). Customers visiting the Web site would receive the same information from a Customer Service Representative or our External Relations Department
