DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE PROCEDURE ON ALL AGENDA ITEMS



1. Planning staff makes verbal report and Committee asks questions of clarification

or explanation.

2. Public hearing is opened on the agenda item.

3. Project applicant makes presentation and Committee asks questions.

4. The public is requested to speak and the Committee may ask questions of each speaker.

5. Project applicant is allowed to respond to issues not covered by his presentation.

6. Public hearing is closed and the matter discussed by Committee Members.

7. Committee acts on each application by a motion, second and vote.



CONSENT CALENDAR AND AGENDA DISCUSSION:



Consent items are expected to be routine and noncontroversial. It is proposed that recommended action on these items as described in the staff report be adopted by the Committee without discussion. However, if any interested party or Committee Member requests the opportunity to discuss a proposed Consent Item, it will be removed from that part of the agenda and taken up in the order as determined by the Chair.



Also at this time, the Committee and staff will discuss any changes to the printed agenda.



If anyone wishes to challenge these projects in court, they may be limited to raising only those issues they or anyone else raised at the public hearings described in this agenda or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department at, or prior to, public hearings.

To consider an amendment to the Design Review approval for the AT&T Communications Hut, a 945-square-foot unmanned facility located on the property of St. Anthony of Padua Church at 1000 Cambridge Street near South Novato Boulevard. The proposed amendment would allow the addition of metal awnings over the two entry doors that face South Novato Boulevard.



H. PRELIMINARY PROJECT DESIGN REVIEW WORKSHOP:



H-1 ALBERTSONS (KR)

APN 157-710-01; 5700 NAVE DRIVE



To conduct a preliminary project design workshop for a proposal to amend the Precise Development Plan for the Nave Drive Commercial Center located within the Hamilton Field Master Plan area. As approved, a full service 68,200-square-foot Lucky Supermarket (now Albertsons) with pharmacy, bank and photo shop would be constructed on the northerly portion of the 5.85-acre project site. Albertsons proposes to amend the Precise Development Plan to allow a 57,560-square-foot supermarket on the southeasterly portion of the site with a 5,000-square-foot building pad at the northwesterly corner.
